I do my best to categorize all the different posts. In fact it is quite simple as long as I avoid the human error factor.
Here you will find the posts I uploaded while we were sailing with our 1wheelfloatinglady, a ’77 Nautor 43 Swan, one of the 21 motorsailing vessels Nautor Swan build.
We changed that just a bit. Since november 2024 we are living on a motorboat. A Vripack Searocco 1500.

Today we arrived at the little marina on Serejø. Just lovely beeing the only one here. We did a nice 70 miles from our anchorage last night. Some sailing, some motoring, some wind, no wind, more than enough wind and some pancakes. Tomorrow we’re heading for Sweden. That’s the last stage we do before we slow down a bit. Ok, maybe we slow down a bit.
Crossing shipping lanes can be tricky. Especially when you have to cross a double one in the middle of the night. So while Leonie and I enjoyed our 3 hour sleep Dirk was playing with big carriers and the ‘Mein Schiff 3’ at the Weser lanes. I’m not sure how often he changed course to play it save, but he got us through in one piece.
If you meet Dirk feel free to ask him about it. It’s a hell of a story.
It’s a couple of years ago. We were fishing for mackerel and young cod at a wrecksite above ‘Teleurschelling’. It wasn’t a good day for fishing, swell and tide were hitting us, but we managed to get some fish on board. Just before the tide was getting to strong i felt a different vibration on the rod. To my surprise there was a little squid on the hook. Quite amazing, i never caught one before here. So after a quick look i released it.
Today i got rewarded for that memorable moment. Kids in the Vlieland marina were catching little crabs and stuff from jetties and to my surprise they caught two really tiny squidies (max 3cm) with there little net. I never knew they grew up here right under my feet hull.
Although i’ve seen those little curious beauties in the Caribic before, these two were just more then astonishing.
The eagle has landed. Tuuli is finally back on Vlieland and also ready to take off later on this week. It looks like our destination is going to be the Elbe (Brunsbüttel & Currywurst), but you never know. With Helgoland and even Thyboron still in mind we’ll see where the wind will bring us.
If you like you can follow us on Marine Traffic. Search on Tuuli or on our MMSI 244660104.
Although we’re really not that far away from the marina in Makkum, we are finally on our way. One night anchoring near the ‘Lorentz locks’ before we move on tomorrow. The only trouble i had so far was finding some matching music, had some comments about that lately 😉 Last but not least i found this beautiful golden oldie!
And it is Ronnie's fault, as usual. We had to celebrate Ron's last evening in the marina before we (Leonie & me) raise anchor at the end of the week. And i told him several times, easy on this stuff, it isn't lemonade. But he never listens. Never ...
Actually the old fridge was still ok but I just didn’t trusted it anymore. And we hated piling up the food, because you always need stuff from underneath. A nice extra is the little freeze compartment and probably this Dometic CRX80 (see picture) is quite a bit more energy efficient. We’ll see. Today i’m going to fasten the unit and fix the DC 12v connection. I’ll let you know what still went wrong last minute.
Update: So you buy a fridge and a special frame to make it look nice. Then you find out that a few of the pre-drilled holes do not match with each other and you can’t really fix that easily. It’s in now but just a bit crooked at the bottom. Man I’m pissed.
