FOUR
Rendsburg. Still at the ‘Kielerkanal’.

I do my best to categorize all the different posts. In fact it is quite simple as long as I avoid the human error factor.
Here you will find the posts I uploaded while we were back sailing with our 1wheelfloatinglady, a ’77 Nautor 43 Swan, one of the 21 motorsailing vessels Nautor Swan build. Yes, we also tried a motorboat, Aegir an 50feet Vripack.

Or something like that. The little harbour of Brunsbüttel at the ‘Nord Ost Kanal’ is just behind the locks. So we left the ‘Elbe’ and changed saltwater to sweet.

Helgoland. It’s a strange little island with a quite unusual history. Lot’s of beautiful northern gannets, lots of swell in the harbour and lots of cheap diesel. We had a very nice dinner at the Aquarium Restaurant. And I’m sure someone had an eye on me that morning.
I think Helgoland is always worth a visit, I don’t know why Dirk doesn’t want to go there 😉

Two days ago we left Vlieland for a quick tour the whatever. It was also our first time we went out with our MS Aegir.
Somehow it’s strange not being on a sailboat because you don’t have to think about the direction of the wind, tides, the temperature and more things like that. You just sit down with a nice cup of tea watching this lady hammering into the waves. What’s for lunch today, dear;)
It takes a lot of energy, not to mention money, but we’re getting there, slowly.
Navigational systems are almost working like I want them to work. Fishfinder is ok, plotters and camera’s are ok. We’re still busy with one of the three bilgealarms and there’s an annoying interference on the vhf.
So, only about three hundred other things left 😉

So i had my first introduction-lesson this week at the local shooting club. But that’s not the only target I have in mind at this moment.
We have so many things to do on our list I would’nt know were to start telling you.
Did I already told you about my first introduction-lesson at the local shooting club?

Have you ever been in an engineroom wondering where a strange noise comes from. The filters? Do they rinse themselves? No that’s not possible. Is there something in the daytank running? No that’s not possible. So what is it?
Aaaaah it’s our Femke playing on the dashboard with the bilgepump button. And I’m pretty sure I saw her smiling whilest running away!

I’m not giving up on this. I can do it. It just takes some time and patience. Take a deep breath and whooosha.
