SIX: ECKERNFÖRDE

Here’s one of the three angels who are watching over the city. And the turists i guess. But it’s a nice little town with some very pretty old houses. And not to forget the man with the accordion at the little bridge who played the same melody over and over again 🙂

FIVE-AND-A-HALF

I’m going to keep this one as short as possible. I made several mistakes trying to help a little sailboat. It ended with the ‘Seenotretter’ pulling us also off the sandbar. And of course they filmed it all for a documentary for the NDR.
After some administration we finally could continue our way with some paint damage and bruised ego.
Never a dull moment …

LABOE IS NO. FIVE

What can I say. My first currywurst on this trip. It was the only positif thing that happend to us in Laboe. Forget about the miscommunication with the harbourmaster, don’t mention the swell and gales we had all night and morning. And if I knew what would happen the next day, I would have stayed in bed.

STOP NO. 2

Helgoland. It’s a strange little island with a quite unusual history. Lot’s of beautiful northern gannets, lots of swell in the harbour and lots of cheap diesel. We had a very nice dinner at the Aquarium Restaurant. And I’m sure someone had an eye on me that morning.
I think Helgoland is always worth a visit, I don’t know why Dirk doesn’t want to go there 😉

FIRST STOP: NORDERNEY

Two days ago we left Vlieland for a quick tour the whatever. It was also our first time we went out with our MS Aegir.
Somehow it’s strange not being on a sailboat because you don’t have to think about the direction of the wind, tides, the temperature and more things like that. You just sit down with a nice cup of tea watching this lady hammering into the waves. What’s for lunch today, dear;)
