HELLO EGERSUND
THE 23TH OF JULY
Which date means nothing to us, except that we’ve arrived in Haugesund. It wasn’t our plan, but we’re going to stay here for a couple of nights. Waiting for the wind and rain to pass.
We definitely had some beautiful weather since we left Florø so it’s now time for the original Norwegian climate.
And as always time for some maintenance, Tour de France and Formula One 😉
FLORØ
After one night at a teeny tiny jetty somewhere at the end of a bay and one night at anchor in one of the million other bays here in Norge we’re back in the more or less civilized world.
We started this morning fully dressed with a cold breeze, drizzle and hardly any visibilty and now we’re sitting in shorts and t-shirt. Never a dull moment. Probably it starts raining again in a couple of minutes.
But no complaints. The fjords and islands are stunning beautiful and it’s still amazing quite. So now we’re staying in Florø for a couple of days. It really feels like a vacation 😉
FIRST THINGS FIRST
So after a week with our kids and a couple of days with some weird friends from Vlieland we are back in Ålesund.
As you can guess we now need a couple of days to reload mentally and power up to go around Stad again. Which is a famous passage known for it’s crossing waves as we experienced on our way up. To avoid this passage with bad weather they’re planning to build an amazing tunnel for ships. You can find here more info about that.
Meanwhile we are very, very busy watching the Worldcup soccer games, Formula One and the Tour de France. And of course a little maintenance has to be done before we leave somewhere the next days.
