TUULI PROJECT-2
Still going strong. 40 hours of deck pealing and a couple more doing other stuff.
Still seven weeks left to finish this. Has anyone some spare knees left?

And no deck 🙂 Today the Tuuli projekt really started. I have two weeks to get the 47 year old teakdeck off. That’s going to be a battle for sure.

Or as we say in dutch ‘Woudsend‘ or in Frisian ‘Waldsein’.
Today we sailed our lady Tuuli from Makkum to Woudsend. Except for one little shower of rain it was a beautiful day. I really don’t understand why hardly anyone keeps sailing in wintertime.
But then we’re also leaving the water for some maintenance next week 😉

There’s a lot going on the next couple of weeks. So we’re really busy trying to sort things out to hopefully make it all happen. But then there’s always Bertold Brecht’s quote.
“Ja, mach nur einen Plan! Sei nur ein großes Licht! Und mach dann noch ’nen zweiten Plan, gehn tun sie beide nicht.”
So we left Cuxhaven early on Saturday morning. We started with about 20 knots and ended the sailing, eleven hours later, at about six o’clock with only 8 knots left on the anemometer. The rest of the trip our Perki did the job. We arrived at the Vlieland marina at 10am. Job done.
But now it’s time for some little maintenance, some new things and stuff before we take Tuuli to the mainland for more serious things.
Let’s first start removing this old waterheater 😉
