We left Trondheim early in the morning, heading back to Kristiansund, hopefully with no big winds and current against and as little rain as possible. Well, that didn’t go quite as planned. Ok, we had no wind, really nothing at all, but instead of that we had rain. Lots of rain. And the best thing is we had like 15 hours against the current, varying between 0.2-1.1 knots. That’s amazing because there is a tidal difference of about 1.2 meters. Where does that water go to? Does it all evaporates causing low tide and than the rain is filling up the fjords again? Or is the moon effect only working if there are no clouds? I have to figure that out, but even on Barentswatch.no i can’t find the logic.
Was it all bad then? No, absolutely not. The bimini kept us pretty much dry, Dickie added warmth from below, Perki was running smooth as always, we had coffee, food and a radar. And now and then we even saw the beautiful coast and little islands. Stunning.
This was our view for about 15 hours and just before it started drizzling and more 😉
