OSLO – DICKIE ROSENWASSER

All the fancy barber shops were ‘busy’ today, so we dropped in at the drop-in shop with absolutely no expectations for a good outcome.

The lady showed me the chair, told me to sit and be quiet. Then she made the decision for my new haircut and confirmed her monologue with a clear ‘brå’.

I closed my eyes and went to a happy place.

It just felt like five minutes later we were standing outside the shop again. A bit confused but the job was done. We started walking back to the harbour as I heard people whispering, who’s the pretty woman next to Brad Pitt, isn’t that George Clooney with his new gorgeous girlfriend, that must be Dickie Rosenwasser and his handsome new wife. Camera’s were clicking everywhere and I started running.

At the same moment the lady hairdresser stopped clicking photographs with her scissors and I slowly came back to earth looking straight into the mirror and this awesome good looking dude.

I had to admit the lady did a hell of a job, but also left me with one big mystery.

Who is Dickie Rosenwasser?

HOLD MY WIENER(S)

Come on, i can’t be the only one who does it this way. Are you really turning your Wieners with a fork? Nooooo, you don’t, do you? You have to keep on shaking the pan until all the ‘polser’ face the same colored way up. And over and over again for a perfect 360 tan. And if it goes completely rogue, just use the joker so you can freely pick the most beautiful one out of the pan and eat it without getting any penalty point.

But be careful, it must remain yin en yang in the pan. So if you feel there is even the slightest imbalance you are forced to pick one out again. And again. And again. At one moment there will be no more sausages left. And that’s fine because you did a hell of a job keeping everything under perfect control. We all know how terrible hard that battle is.

The only question that remains is, what’s for dinner tonight?

OSLO – SATURDAY EXPERIENCE

So we were having a nice walk through the city again, exploring new streets, buildings and shops. There was a sort of festival going on with music on several places in the city and the city was crowded with people. The weather was also beautiful, so what could go wrong?

I’ll stick to three things. After a couple of hours we came to this nice little square with music and more important lots of Thai food, which smelled like heaven to me. I was thinking how much can I eat here and still want the stew Leonie cooked, tonight. After I figured it all out, the problem occurred. We had no cash on us and the normal way to pay was by Vipps, which can’t be used by tourists. I couldn’t torture myself any longer and we went on as fast as possible.

I think the next happened because of the sweat running down my back into my pants. Suddenly I had an itch at my butt. Exactly on a spot you can’t just easily scratch in public. And there was a lot of public around. I could not find any solution for this little new experience. Nothing to hide, no shops, nothing around that could release me from this uncomfortable feeling. The itching got worse. I really had to do something quickly so i climbed on a sort of park bench and the moment I jumped off, nonchalant but gracefully, I pulled my underwear up as far as possible. The itch was gone before I landed, but now another odd feeling hit me. The silly walk did attract some peoples attention, but hej there was a festival going on so i shook it all loose with some rock ‘n roll moves. If I had Vipps myself at that moment I surely would have made some Kroner.

We were almost at home when I felt something snap in my belly part. Because of all the madnesses before I think I accidentally injured an abdominal muscle. Nothing serious, but it’s just the one that holds my well trained sixpack when I’m not on own property. So now the barrel is back and it seems it takes some month before this injury is over. The good news is that it doesn’t hurt, so I’ll live with it.

And the world has to live with it too.

OSLO – HOLMENKNOLLEN

Forgive me but I’ve lost track of days this week. There’s so much to see and do around here. And then we had some rain and now it’s 26 degrees again. We changed our plans for next week a bit. Man oh man, we are busy bees.

Now have a look at these pictures. We visited the Ski-museum and the ski jumping Tower. Absolutely stunning view from up there.

I was a bit disappointed the zipline was closed. That would have been an unique experience for the visitors. Me at the thin line….

IIIIIIEW THAT’S GROSS

Did some engine maintenance yesterday. I knew I had to clean the seaweed filter, but wasn’t expecting this. We must have caught some serious shit in the last two days sailing up the Oslo fjord.

It looked like everything you don’t want to see and today i still smell it underneath my fingernails. I wish I could share it with you somehow.
